Sage

White Sage

Salvia Apiana originates from California and has been used as incense by the Native Americans for centuries. Sage is therefore also called Indian incense.

White sage is a strong cleanser. It opens the heart energy. Sage is used in Indian ceremonies for its purifying power in cleansing the aura and the environment and during purification ceremonies and prayers. It removes heavy energies. Burning sage also purifies the air, mind and thoughts.

In a ritual with white sage, negative vibrations around people, but also the vibration in living spaces, are removed. In humans and animals, the aura is purified with the result that your natural resilience increases. Your living spaces are no longer a source of negativity with all its consequences. This appliesfor everyonewhostayor live in that living space. As a result, the negative 'energy' disappears with its sickening vibrations and can no longer negatively affect you, your family and pets. Sage stimulates visions and dreams.

Doctors, therapists and body workers are increasingly discovering the beneficial effect of these herbs. Bunches of smudge are used all over the world to reconnect with the power of Mother Nature.

Shasta sage
Shasta sage or Blue Sage comes from the Mount Shasta area in Northern California. This herb is said to have a powerful Yin energy, making it ideal for orientation and preparation for a meditation or healing ceremony. Mount Shasta is considered one of the seven sacred mountains of this world and violent hurricanes occur regularly. A 'smelling bundle' of this Shasta Sage is therefore very popular for 'incensing' someone's aura or quickly energetically clearing rooms.

Usage
Every person has an energy field around them. This is also called the aura. Each energy field can change over the years. This depends on your physical and mental health. Some people can see that energy field as a color and each color represents something about you as a person. The colors also change every time. Blockages can arise in that energy field. For example, if you are very often stressed or overworked, or if you are not feeling well, often feel energyless or are very tense. Also think of anger or sadness!. Due to daily worries, haste, discussions, quarrels, etc., the aura becomes less clear (smog, as it were, surrounds us). Sage can certainly help to cleanse yourself and your home of this negative energy! The very strong and penetrating scent of sage can calm you down.
White sage is usually roasted in an abalone shell. The shell represents the water element, the sage itself the earth element, the smoldering part is the fire element, and the smoke is the air element.

Light the sage and as soon as it burns well, blow it out, because you use the smoke to cleanse! You can spread the smoke by waving your hands, but the best is to use a feather.

Always start cleaning with the people in the house first, first yourself! Start by holding the shell under your heart and let the smoke rise. Wave the smoke upwards with your feather / hand, you take a deep breath with your nose and then exhale as hard as possible with your mouth. Repeat this at least three times! Then you spread the smoke all over your body. When closing, repeat the same thing by inhaling the sage with your nose and blowing it out hard with your mouth again at least three times. You will then feel calmer and relaxed. Sometimes it is necessary to clean yourself more often. You can also use it if you have to do something that you find very exciting or scary. Even then sage can help you by breathing it in and becoming calmer.

Cleaning in the house

You start the cleaning in the highest place in the house. Go to a corner and let the smoke rise from bottom to top. This is how you go through the room from corner to corner. Are there closed spaces (cupboards, drawers) open them and let the smoke in here too, don't forget anything under all beds! This way you always work floor by floor downwards.
Do you feel that you want to do it the other way around...follow your own feeling.

During the ritual it is important that you open the windows, at the end also open the outside door and possibly. patio door open. This way the negative energies can also go away.

It may be that when you are ready to start, the sage or smudge stick is difficult to light or not to light at all. This has happened to me several times as well. Then just go ahead, keep trying to light the sage, eventually you will notice that the sage continues to smoke and you can start the cleaning. Put your fears aside, and focus on what you want to completely cleanse in your home...but never give up!

It is completely up to you what you want to remove in your home. If you want close relatives who have passed into the light to stay, indicate this, just say this out loud. You decide what needs to be cleaned, and you indicate what can stay and what must disappear!

For entities that do NOT belong to your home, you can say the following:

I connect with the light, asking the light to cleanse this house of entities that don't belong here. Go to the light or I will send you to the light, where you will find rest and peace. This house will be free of all negative energy, in that I trust and believe! '.

When do you clean your home, surroundings and yourself?

Do you recognize this in your living environment?

- Lots of persistent anger

- Much sadness

- People in your house are often and quickly tired, or have more headaches, are more dizzy ect.

- Despite fatigue, you can't fall asleep, you can't relax.

- You feel that you are being watched, you feel an unpleasant energy.

Then it is very important to clean yourself, the people in the house and your living environment with sage.
